im havin trouble with my windows XP registry?

i had a program that was fixing/scanning it and then when i restarted my computer. Windows error said that my registry was corrupted. and i dont have the back up files for it
The link below shows what you have to do. I’ve done it so many times, I don’t need the instructions anymore. Its a lot of typing and you’ll need an XP CD to be able to access recovery mode.

re-install XP or take it to a pro. Not geek squad. playing in your registry can be hazardous to your computers health, and if your not careful you could loose all of your information

You will have to repair your registry from the Windows XP disk. This disk usually has to be a XP retail disk, but I’ve done it with some Dell disks too so I’m mixed on that one.
Best thing for you to do without losing the information on the Hard Drive to to install your XP disk, choose to install it, press F8 for the EULA agreement, then choose ‘R’ to repair the installation you already have in it.
If you feel uncomfortable doing that then take it to a pro and pay the money to get it fixed up. What I described above will be the first or second step the Tech will take to fix your machine depending upon his/her experience level.
