My experience with it is it only messes up your programs. And slows down your computer even more. Better off to reformat and reinstall the operating system. And upgrade your programs.

a lot of things can affect a computer's Performance. disk fragmentation, viruses, hard drive filling up, not enough RAM, registry, ETC. do a disk defragmentation. download and use Eusing free registry cleaner for the registry and check your RAM usage and free
