I have never, had this happen to me before With My Disk, But the Other Day, i Reinstalled WIndows Xp Home(Sp1) On One of my computers And its running smooth, and Quick.. Then I Realized, that It Never asked me To Register Windows, During Setup, Because, A Little Window in my Taskbar Flashed to me, You have 23 days to Register this copy of windows..

So I Clicked it, and It Tells Me Im Already Registered..

I cannot Figure out how to get it To Reset, So i can Re register it?

Do i need to Upgrade to SP2, to get it to flush the system?

Ive never had this problem before with anthing..

(Mainly why most of my Employees have linux based models..)

Thank you,

Call microsoft support and tell them you did a reinstall of your xp, and tell them the code it is giving you and they will give you the code to enter so that it will be registared. They’ll ask a few questions like "is this the only pc you have this copy of xp installed" It is pretty easy, and when I’ve done it i was only on hold for 5 or 10 minutes.

  2. you need to enter the 25 digit product key that came with the cd.or look on the tower of your computer.there should be a sticker there with the product key.its on the side,at the top, toward the front.if you installed the same version of windows, then the product key will work.also. if you are using service pack1,your browser is out of date.use service pack2,then connect to windows update, and download all the latest files, and patches.
