I’ve done everything. Downloaded Spyware Doctor, Malwarebyte, Six types of Rkill, and Quad Registry Cleaner. I searched all over google and youtube. I followed http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-security-suite… Nothing! I try to use rkill before Security Suite had time to open but my Computer background freezes then the attack happens. I try clicking all the rkills at the same time… Still Nothing. Try using Spyware Doctor and Malwarebyte while the virus was attacking… Still blocked. I’m using safe mode now,,, Only way I can connect to the internet without firefox freezing and IE from Saying I don’t have a connection.
Thinking of reformatting my computer if this goes on any longer. Which means redownloading updates and patches for my games… So please, can someone help or at least give out some useful advice that I haven’t heard?
I also got attacked by a similar virus before called Anti-Malware Doctor. RKill and Malwarebyte finished it off quick… But Security Suite is a pain to get rid of since it blocks all the rkills.
By the way, I already downloaded WiNlOgOn and uSeRiNiT… Those are the extra two rkills.
Yes, I have tried using Malwarebyte, Spyware Doctor, and TDSSkiller in safemode.
Malwarebyte got some other trogans and stuff before Security Suite got power. So did Spyware Doctor. But, none got rid of Security Suite. Now they say nothing in my computer. I ran TDSSkiller in safe mode but it didn’t find anything either…
I’m downloading exeHelper.com and exeHelper.scr now. I’m going to try to use rkill and keep the message saying it’s infected.
Thanks Bill M!
After going Fist of the North Star on my mouse. (Google it if you don’t understand what I mean) I rkill worked and I got Spyware docotor working! It found viruses and Trojans. So when it finishes, I should be clear. Gonna open up Megabyte too, just to be sure.
(Spyware Doctor is the full version, so it can get rid of the viruses)
Hrm, seems like Spyware Doctor didn’t get rid of it when I restarted… Maybe if I run all my anti-virus programs… I don’t know, I’ll keep trying.
If you run into those infections warnings that close Rkill, the trick is to leave the warning on the screen and then run Rkill again. By not closing the warning, this typically will allow you to bypass the malware trying to protect itself so that rkill can terminate Security Suite . So, please try running Rkill until the malware is no longer running. You will then be able to proceed with the rest of the guide. If you continue having problems running rkill.com, you can download iExplore.exe or eXplorer.exe, which are renamed copies of rkill.com, and try them instead.
I suppose you did the above exactly as describe. If it doesn’t work then there’s nothing more you can do but to do a factory reset or a clean installation of everything (OS and applications).
By the way, you said that you’ve been hit by a similar fake AV before. This means you have not adopted any significant measures to protect your system. If you had at least the free Microsoft Security Essentials and the full version of Malwarebytes (not free), you would not be experiencing this.
Oh well, some people learn the hard way and some people learn the harder way.
