The system registry is a very large filing system or rather a giant database that records all the changes made to the computer by the user. This may be addition or removal of hardware or software as well as adding permissions for users and removing permissions for users. The registry constantly and automatically upgrades its records with the new changes. This way the registry constantly grows and as it grows it slows down because the system takes a longer while to locate the information it is looking for. This is so because every time the registry has to come up with information it has to start searching from the very beginning of its database. So, the larger the database the longer it will take to locate the data. This is the main reason that the registry must be cleaned regularly with a good computer Spyware removal utility.
Spyware Clogs The Registry
The registry can get clogged with data from all sorts of sources. Spyware is one of the greater sources that the registry is subject to trash information from. Spyware is malicious software that is downloaded inadvertently by the user to the computer. Spyware operates in the background as a hidden program and usually maintains its stealth status by delaying startup of programs and responses to other queries. This is because the Spyware needs the time to do its work without the operator suspecting its presence.
Spyware Has To Be Removed From The Registry
Spyware makes its entries in the registry as well. So removing the Spyware from the programs of the computer is not the solution to speed up the system and secure your personal information. The traces of the Spyware must be removed from the registry as well. Scanning the system with a good anti-spyware program and removing the Spyware from the system can achieve system optimization to a great extent. Some Spyware programs can remove the links of the Spyware form the registry as well but it is always good to have the best Spyware removal program such as the Quake removal Spyware to clean the registry and remove all Spyware links from the registry.
There are many free registry cleaners available and can do a good job of cleaning the registry. Eusing registry cleaner is one such free registry cleaner. Using a registry cleaner in conjunction with free anti-Spyware software will be very beneficial to your system. At least it will run faster and more efficiently than before you run the removal program. Protection of your personal data is perhaps the most important priority of anti-Spyware.

Do I have enough antivirus/spyware/adware protection with just Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D?
Right now I have the free version of Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy. Are these enough for computer protection? Do i need AVG or Avast in addition to these? Can i get rid of any of these? I also have Crap Cleaner (CCleaner), but that’s is more for deleting internet files.
I am not sure how good ad aware is since i have never used it. I have spybot, avast, and malwarebytes. That i have had for over 2 years now and i have never had any trouble at all .

Firstly, too much anti-virus, etc. stuff will slow your pc down to a crawl! Plus, a good one won’t allow you to install a second one to run along side it anyway – it’ll detect it as a threat and ‘flag’ it to you!. I’ve run Spybot for a couple of years and it’s pretty good. However, I also run a separate anti-virus (just one) also. I change it periodically, because none of them is more than about 85% effective. I have Avast free home download at present, and I find that’s pretty good. It usually updates automatically on a daily basis, too! And if there’s a program you no longer wish to keep, simply uninstall it!
