Some how the xpantispyware2009 virus got into my computer. It is blocking me from opening most of my spyware-getter-rid ofs, including hijack this. I deleted some of its .DLL files, but it is still blocking hijack this, and any removal tools links will not open online, it just goes to a blank page so I think it is blocking that too. HELP Avast is running, and isnt detecting anything yet, and F8 is not working on my laptop to open it and try and run it in safe mode. I dont even see an F8 option, it says F2 and F12 and neither of those say anything about safe mode. I deleted all registry keys with CC cleaner, HELP!!!!!!! What can I do? Can i delete it manually? It wont delete it in control panel, and the .exe files are not showing in cmd prompt. My Aol Instant messanger is AdelinaBamarre to anyone that can help too, if willing to walk me through this.

ok

only one way to get rid of these things.

and thank goodness its the easyest.

go buy the windows operating sysem or if you still have the CD then reinstall XP.

do this by putting the CD in and restarting your comp …then make sure u delete ur petition and make a new one.

or if u want to try and battle it download:

SUPER ANTISPYWARE

and

AVAST home edition.

and maybe AVG..

but those 2 work great togeather.

make sure u TAKE YOUR INTERNET OFF!!!! VIRUES SPREAD USING THE INTERNET ON UR COMPUTER! PULL THE PLUG!

then get ur new anti stuff and restart computer while pushing F8 (savemode)

or superantispyware has a boot save thing and u can reach that by going to start- all programs- super anti spyware- and boot safe…

good luck

my advice is to reinstall xp or vista..

please email me if u want step by step. or if u have AIM that would be better to communicate…just do it on anothe computer.

  1. Enter MRT into the run commands and scan for malware with windows…but its not very reliable.

  3. Download and run the following application:

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Use the latest version, 1.29 at the time I write this, and allow it to update and run. I’ve had great success using this with your particular infection. Remove anything it finds.

Once that is done, reboot, then download and run:

Get the free home version. Install it, updated it, and allow it to run. Remove anything it finds and repeat until your scans come up clean.

  5. XP Antispyware 2009, also known as XPAntispyware2009 and XPAntispyware 2009, is a variant of the immensely annoying XPAntivirus. XP Antispyware 2009 is a fictitious antispyware that was created to devastate the computer user’s system. Experts are of the opinion that XP Antispyware 2009 hails from the same virus-family as XPAntivirus2009, XPAntivirus2008, XPAntivirus or XPAntivirus 2009.
