Does your computer need the best registry repair? You are probably not alone. Although the registry is the most important directory on our computer, often times we forget that it needs to be repaired frequently to maintain computer performance. Anytime we download and install new software or remove older programs, our registry is negatively effected. Yet when is the last time you went into your registry to fix it? The best registry repair software needs to perform a variety of tasks. Before recommending what I consider the best registry cleaner, I will tell you the type of features that are required to fully repair and optimize your computer:

· The major errors caused by a faulty registry are typically broken links, missing paths, corrupt DLL, invalid and redundant entries, and Kernel problems. These cause computer crashes, windows blue screens, fatal windows errors, and other Windows related problems. A registry cleaner should be able to repair files that are corrupted while removing files that are not needed.

· Fully optimize your system. All of our computers have problem areas that can be cleaned up which can significantly speed up your computer and enhance PC performance. The best registry repair software will take a snapshot of your system and offer to optimize your computer.

· Create a backup of your registry before making changes. Sometimes mistakes happen and files may be altered and removed that aren’t suppose to be. This is why it is of utmost importance to have a registry cleaner that will automatically create a backup beforehand. This will give you 100% protection in the case anything goes wrong.

  1. BIG HUGE COMPUTER PROBLEM!!!!?
BEFORE I START!!!! I have 3 trojans but they are in quaritine and haven’t affected anything! Speed, pop-ups, nothing. As I said they are in quaritine.

Alright today I ran a System Mechanic 9 deep system scan analysis and found out I had 5 problems. I first removed system clutter. And it asked me to restart, so I did. Then I went to the next problem. Some Registry problems. I fixed that and it asked me to restart again. So I did.

There was an unknown program. So I removed it and restarted again. Went to the next problem which wanted me to scheduled a de-fragmentation of my computer. It said my computer was 100% fragmented

    PAY ATTENTION!!!!

De-fragmentation I scheduled it and restarted my computer AND IT WOULDN’T WORK!!!! Well it kinda did. It brought me to a black screen stating (not the exact words but this is just a summary)

"We are sorry for the inconvenience, but windows failed to load. It may have been a power failure. You can either re-launch windows if you aren’t sure what the problem is. Or you can return your settings to the last time they worked."

I’ve tried to re-launch windows normally and it froze up on a black screen. I’ve done it a few times. Then i tried to return the settings to the last time it worked. Neither of them worked. Whichever option I chose it still freezes up on the black screen.

HELP!!! Since I scheduled the last De-fragmenting and restarted to reflect changes. It started freezing up. HELP!!!!
ALSO I HAVE POSTED THIS QUESTION BEFORE AND HERE ARE SOME ANSWERS!!!!

Fxfreak3: Ok. It sounds like your program deleted some vital registry entries. Without the right registry info, your computer can’t start up. If I were you, I’d get the XP or Vista disc (whatever it is you have) and follow the instructions to repair your current windows installation. Hope this helps.

REPLY: xfreak3 First off I don’t own the Vista manuel only cause I don’t have vista.

The XP manual! Is so complex that is almost unreadable!

I can’t reinstall anything only because my computer freezes up. I CAN’T DO ANYTHING!!!! But thank you for taking the time and trying to help

Mike: Never use 3rd party software to "Clean" your computer.
Always use Windows own, defragment and disc cleanup.

Try restarting in Last known good configuration or safe mode.

If that does not work, means its a lot more than your registry.

Try and do a repair install

If that fails, do a parallel install on the other Drive(D, E, F etc. anything except C) and backup your data.

If you have only 1 drive you are pretty much screwed, if you dont have crucial data, i’d say do a clean install.

For instructions on installing, go to
    windowsreinstall.com

Since you dint specify your OS, I cannot give you specific link, you’d have to browse it in the website and find the screenshots for (repair, parallel, clean install)

REPLY:I may be wrong, and if I am don’t take it personal. But first off, iolo is a major company Not some cheap company I downloaded off the internet.! I bought it at BestBuy for 60$. Even IF it is a 3rd party program. Let me ask you. What anitvirus software isn’t third party that works good? That is released purely by Microsoft?

AIG and Nortan Antivirus are both made by 3rd party companies. They are both the other best companies that I know of.

Salim:i am still confused ur question. but i can help u.
see if u have a older dard disk u should not give pain to it such as defragmentation,format,cluster,.. it will lead to still weaken ur disk or sometime ur hard disk will colapse.
i think that was happend to ur disk. try change ur disk.

    if not do the following.
switch on ur cpu, press "F8" before ur OS boots. now select "Start Pc last known goos configuratiion" then press enter key.

    or try this one
switch on ur cpu, press "F8" before ur OS boots. now select safe mode then press enter key. now ur os boots. use System Restore to previous time.

REPLY:Salim again last known configuration dosen’t work as I stated in the question. It still freezes up. I also forgot to mention. I have 3 trojan scripts. But they are in quaritine and have had been there for over a year. And nothing has been affected.

  2. You should get a windows xp cd. Boot to the cd. Instead of installing xp choose repair. When you get to the C:\WINDOWS prompt type fixboot and press enter. This will write a new boot sector to the disk. You also might want to try the chkdsk command at the C:\ prompt as well this will check your drive for errors and repair them if possible.

  3. Some answers above are good to try. Windows security and firewall is 100% garbage. You could run a semi through the holes. It is good to run defragmenting through windows, but 3rd party software is way better for security. Avg is good for free, Bit defender is great for a paid program.

If you can’t do anything, then you must boot the computer and while it is trying to start, you need to keep pressing the delete key. Just keep pressing every couple seconds until you get to the bios screen. You can change the boot order to boot from your disc. Insert the Xp disc and it will boot into Windows xp install, reinstall, repair options. You may be able to reinstall windows over itself and still save your data. I have done this many times before because I test alot of software and after installing and uninstalling hundreds of times, windows goes all haywire.

  4. If you have the windows xp disc or can borrow one if you don’t have one try booting to the cd. Once it loads select R to repair. It will ask for the administrator password if you have one. You should then the the C:\WINDOWS prompt. At that promp type chkdsk /r and press enter. Once that has completed and you are back at the C:\WINDOWS prompt type fixboot and press enter. Once that has finished you can then reboot your computer and hopefully fix the issue.
