Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!
The registry records the relationship between hardware, memory space, and addressing. It contains information and settings for all the hardware, software, users, and preferences of the computer. Whenever you make a change to the Control Panel settings, file associations, system policies, or installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in the registry. The operating system continually references this information during its operation. you can see What is Registry? http://downloadlk.net/whatisregistry.htm
However, a centralized registry system presents some problems as well. The registry is considered a “single point of failure” – modifications can lead to disrepair. The resulting damage could range from poor performance to not being able to boot up your computer. In these most extreme cases, data could be unrecoverable and a full re-installation of the operating system would be required. You have to re-install your system always. To determine if your system is in fact running slow because of problems in your registry, you will need to run a Registry software such as http://downloadlk.net/themosteffectiveregistrycleaner.htm .This easy to use program will perform a deep scan on your computer and will report back on any issues or problems it finds for you at no charge – which means you can figure out what is wrong.
You have CCleaner.

I suggest using the built in "Defrag" tool and then following these steps to make your computer SUPER QUICK!
1.)Go to start > run. If its not there press the windows key and R. Then continue to type "msconfig" (without the "")
2.) Go to the "Startup" Tab and click the "Disable all button". Then click okay and restart your pc.
Enjoy a super-fast PC without any virus’s, uninstalled programs or limitations!

I wouldn’t use one of those. They let you download a free trial version which will tell you that you have dozens and dozens of problems and they can fix it if you buy the software. Most of what they call problems aren’t problems at all and you can really mess up your computer.

The reason the computer gets slow is due to the registry files becoming corrupted, or messed up, in simple terms. These files tell the computer or laptop how to operate the software installed on the system. If any of these files get messed up, the computer is not sure what to do and this will really slow down the computer. The other scenario is where you download other software, screensavers, pictures, videos, or even music, and this will somehow change the settings on a registry file. When this happens, the original program that needs that file now has the wrong instructions in it. So, it will cause the computer to run slow, or in a worse case, crash.
You can speed up your computer with a thorough analysis and repair of your registry. Registry repair and registry cleaning are designed to confuse people with unfamiliar terminology so that they will pay for software that they don’t need and get a false sense of security. If your registry is actually corrupted your computer will not start, if specific registry entries on your system aren’t correct you will get error boxes popping up like crazy and the software won’t work properly, if at all. If the operating system or the software you run on it can’t find it’s own resources it will let you know.
The only way to tell if specific software is having problems with the registry is to run that software.
Deleting unused entries from the registry does not speed up your computer. You can optimize your computers performance by changing some of the registry settings, but that is something that has to be tailored to your specific set up.
I’m not sure if you want to speed up a system that was once fast and is now having problems or you want a system that is working fine to get a boost. If you want to take a decent system and give it a boost you will have to learn about overclocking. Just do a search for the term overclocking and you’ll get plenty of results, but know going in that you can overheat your computer doing that stuff.
If your computer is abnormally slow you should uninstall as much unnecessary software as you can and limit the number of programs that start when you turn on your computer. If your using Vista you may want to downgrade to XP.
