Where can I get an effective registry repair program?

My computer runs with errors, and relatively slow. I’ve not got many programs on it and the hard drive is mostly free. I’ve been told the registry may need to be repaired. So I’m looking for a cheap or free registry repair program that I can give a shot. I figured yahoo answers would be the best place to get the help I need. Thanks in advance

    I do not think there is any such program that can do this when needed really. Better backup registry and restore it when needed.
