In today’s video we will show you how to tweak your windows registry and disable a dos based registry value called the 8.3 naming convention. This runs in the background so your computer can communicate with DOS based systems. Now if you have no need to communicate with DOS based systems then this registry tweak will reduce the amount of resources that are wasted by windows. This is a good registry entry to make sure you have disabled.
