Yahoo toolbar was installed on workstaions on our LAN. After uninstalling the program I find that windows registry was modified and client downloads are blocked. How do I reset registry?

Somehow I doubt that the problem that you are seeing has anything to do with Yahoo toolbar.

Sounds like your machine has been hijacked by spyware.

  1. Uninstalling any program will remove registry entries to it, so it’s likely normal. But you might try getting a registry cleaner application if you feel paranoid.

RegCleaner is a decent program for this http://majorgeeks.com/RegCleaner_d460.html

Microsoft Regclean is outdated but still a nice program

  3. A have to agree with annorax64. Removing the Yahoo toolbar is NOT your problem.

The Windows Registry is constantly being changed. That is quite normal.
